All fetishes can seem a bit strange if it isn’t your thing. Even mainstream fetishes like spanking and light BDSM can strike people as a bit odd. So it’s never
too surprising when you hear about a fetish that makes even the most open-minded person raise their eyebrows. Granted, these days, shocking people is more difficult since you can find anything you can imagine online. Still, every so often, there is a fetish that emerges that is so specific and targeted at such a niche part of the population that you can’t help but wonder if it really has much of a following.
That’s the area in which the Alien Egg Laying fetish lives. You heard me right. A fetish where people fantasize about an alien laying eggs inside of them. Where the aliens lay their eggs varies somewhat, depending on the person. But more often than not, the eggs are deposited in the anus or vagina. The fetish is officially referred to as Ovipositor fantasy and is a part of the science fiction fetish family that also includes Spock and Kirk Slash Play, Shapeshifting and, of course, sexy robots. Fans of Ovipositor erotica fantasize specifically about having an alien deposit eggs inside their body. It’s both the act of the sex act itself and what the alien leaves behind that attracts these people and they often post erotic fiction and stories about their own experiences under forums for fans of Xenomorphs, the species of alien from the Alien movie franchise.
The adult product community has, of course, been only too happy to step up with products for this niche community. Most recently, Primal Hardwere was in the news when they released their ovipositor-centric dildos. The company offers the universally popular Splorch model. The Splorch is 10.5 inches long with a full 9.5 inch shaft. It measures in as 2″ in diameter before you put the eggs in and it says it can handle “chicken sized” gelatin eggs. They also offer the Krubera, a larger version of the original Splorch. The Krubera sports a shaft of 11 inches and when eggs are passed through the toy, it “distends, rippling and writhing, the eggs sliding upward until they gently pop out the end.” Each toy retails for around $120-150 and neither comes with eggs. Instead, people can order them separately or they can get molds to create the eggs for themselves.
Fans of Xenomorphic erotica are, admittedly, a fairly small group. Searching for them online doesn’t yield the same kinds of easy results for communities or fellow fetish fans as more well-known fetishes. Still, there is an active community that maintains Tumblr pages, Pinterest boards and threads on fetish websites. Like any fetish community, they have their own shorthand language when referring to certain aspects of sex and they also are open about their own fantasies and ways they’ve found to indulge their truly unique passions.
In that regard, while Xenomorph and Ovipositor fans may be unique in what they enjoy, they are very much like other fetish communities once you start reading through their posts and online activity. They’re a group of people with rich imaginations and who are also surprisingly resourceful. Since the fetish is so niche – and relatively new – there aren’t many products like books, sex toys or accessories marketed for them. But this doesn’t stop the community from finding ways to create their own merch and show off the fruits of their labors. There are galleries of gelatin eggs people have made for themselves and even xenomorph and ovipositor-centric listings on eBay and Etsy. So even though the interests of this group may be one of a kind, their ingenuity and inclusiveness makes them a part of the wild, colorful and welcoming tapestry of the greater fetish community.
